This website is run by Dr Stefan Fafinski. For data protection purposes, I am responsible for the personal information collected through it.

If you contact me using the contact form, I collect your name, email address, any organisation you identify, the subject of your enquiry and the information included in your message. I use that information only to consider and respond to your enquiry, continue the correspondence where appropriate and maintain an appropriate record of it. Please do not use the form to send confidential information or other sensitive material.

The lawful basis for this processing is my legitimate interest in receiving and responding to correspondence connected with the subjects and activities covered by this website. Information may also be processed where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.

A copy of a contact-form submission is sent to my email account. I keep correspondence only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the enquiry, any continuing relationship and appropriate legal or administrative record-keeping. Information that is no longer required is deleted periodically.

Limited technical information, including IP address, browser and device details, access times and requested pages, may be processed by the website hosting provider where necessary to deliver, maintain and secure the website.

The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA. When the contact page is used, Google may process technical and interaction information to distinguish genuine users from automated activity. The site also uses Adobe Fonts, which requires a connection to Adobe’s font-delivery service when pages are displayed.

The site also contains interactive maps produced using Google My Map. The map connects to Google only where permission for external media has been given through the site’s privacy controls.

These service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this occurs, the provider is responsible for using an applicable legal transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards. Further information is available in the privacy policies of Google and Adobe.

I do not use personal information collected through this website for marketing, sell it or share it for unrelated commercial purposes. It may be disclosed where required by law or to service providers acting only as necessary to operate and secure the website.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use or object to its processing. Questions or requests concerning personal information can be submitted through the contact page.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies

This website does not currently use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies.

WordPress, Breakdance, Complianz and the website hosting service may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary for security, administration, recording privacy preferences and the basic operation of the website. These do not require consent.

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and automated abuse. Google states that reCAPTCHA sets the _GRECAPTCHA cookie when it performs its security risk analysis. This is treated as a necessary security cookie. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Interactive maps produced using Google My Map are loaded only where permission for external media has been given through the site’s privacy controls. Google may then receive technical information and set or read cookies in accordance with its policies.

Ordinary links to external websites do not connect you to those services until you select them. Those websites have their own privacy and cookie policies.

You can accept or reject optional technologies when the privacy notice first appears. You can subsequently review or change your choice using the Manage consent link in the footer.

If analytics, advertising, additional embedded media or other non-essential technologies are introduced in future, this policy and the consent choices will be updated.
